Lowering your motorcycle with a chunk of tubing under the damper is a crude solution due to the XS internals. This lowering kit includes two spacers and set screws to keep the damper ports aligned to corresponding ports in the spacer, yielding smooth and reliable fork action. The spacers are graduated in 1/4″ increments so you can select your total lowering amount anywhere from 1″ to 3″.
